4.1 Definition of a No-Show #
A student is considered a No-Show when they fail to attend their scheduled class without notifying the teacher in advance.
Teachers will wait up to 15 minutes in the Zoom classroom.
- At 5-10 minutes of absence, the teacher will email the student as a courtesy reminder.
- At 15 minutes, if the student has not joined, the teacher will close the session and report the No-Show.
If the student joins before the 15-minute mark, the class will continue for the remainder of the scheduled time. No additional minutes will be added to compensate for late arrival.
If the student attempts to join the class or communicate with their teacher after the 15-minute waiting period, the class is still considered a No-Show, and the teacher is not required to conduct or reschedule the session.
4.2 Impact on the Plan #
A No-Show counts as a completed class and is fully forfeited. It does not grant rescheduling, refunds, credits, or subscription extensions.
If No-Shows become recurrent, the Student Success Team may contact the student to review the situation and discuss possible schedule adjustments solutions.
If a student stops attending classes for more than two consecutive weeks without notifying the teacher or the Student Success Team, SpanishVIP may pause the subscription automatically. If the student has less than one month remaining, SpanishVIP may cancel the subscription and release the teacher’s reserved time slot. The remaining time will resume counting from the moment the absence is formally addressed.
