02. Enrollment, Payments, and Memberships

2.1 Enrollment #

Students may enroll in SpanishVIP programs through different methods depending on the type of service selected.

2.1.2 Private Classes #

Students may enroll in Private Classes in one of the following ways:

  • Direct Website Purchase:
    Students may select and purchase a plan directly through the SpanishVIP website.
  • Free Trial Session:
    Students may schedule a free trial session with one of our teachers or Student Success Advisors. During this session, the program structure, expectations, and recommendations are explained in detail, and students are guided through the enrollment process.

Once payment is confirmed, students receive a welcome email containing all the necessary information to begin their classes.

Private Class subscriptions are individual and may not be shared. Subscription sharing is strictly prohibited. Any exceptions (2×1 deals) must be formally approved by SpanishVIP and apply only in specific private tutoring cases.

2.1.3 Group Classes #

Enrollment in Group Classes is available through two methods:

  • Getting Started Call:
    Students may book a “Getting Started Call.” During this short meeting, a Student Success Advisor explains how the program works and provides access to a seven (7) day Group Class trial.

No payment information or billing details are collected during this trial enrollment process.

Access under this method is granted manually by the SpanishVIP team.

At the conclusion of the seven-day trial period, SpanishVIP will contact the student to gather feedback regarding their experience and to determine whether they wish to officially start Spanish lessons with us. If the student chooses to enroll, available membership options will be presented, and the student may select the plan that best suits their needs.

  • Direct Purchase via Punchpass:
    Students may enroll directly through our scheduling platform, Punchpass, where they can view available class passes, subscription durations, and pricing options.
    Upon successful purchase through Punchpass, access to Group Classes is granted automatically by the system.

Group Class memberships are individual and may not be shared.

2.1.4. SpanishVIP Academy #

SpanishVIP Academy is a self-paced online learning platform that may be purchased directly through its official website.

Students may review available plans, promotions, and discounts directly on the Academy platform and complete their enrollment independently. Upon successful payment, access is granted automatically.

SpanishVIP Academy may also be offered as an add-on to other SpanishVIP subscriptions, including Private Classes and Group Classes. In such cases, access may be bundled as part of a selected plan or added separately upon request.

Academy access is individual and may not be shared.

2.2 Plans and Subscriptions #

SpanishVIP offers two primary learning programs: Private Classes and Group Lessons. All subscriptions are structured as time-based packages. Students may choose between 1-month, 3-month, or 6-month plans, each available at different price points.

SpanishVIP does not offer individual hours or single-class credits. Private Class plans include a defined number of lessons, while Group Class plans may provide either limited or unlimited access, depending on the selected subscription option.

2.3 Automatic Renewals #

Prior to a student’s first renewal, SpanishVIP will contact the student in advance to confirm whether they wish to continue their subscription.

After the first renewal has been processed, subscriptions will renew automatically unless the student has explicitly requested that automatic billing be disabled. This policy applies to all plan types and durations.

Students who wish to cancel or modify an upcoming renewal must notify SpanishVIP by replying to the renewal email or by contacting support@spanishvip.com directly.

All renewal, modification, or cancellation requests must be submitted at least two (2) business days prior to the scheduled renewal date.

2.4 Plan Flexibility and Changes #

SpanishVIP provides flexible subscription options and does not require students to remain permanently in a single program structure.

If a student’s priorities change — including availability, learning goals, or budget — they may adjust their subscription for a future term. Students may choose to switch between Private Classes and Group Classes, modify the number of lessons, or select a different subscription duration when enrolling in a new plan.

2.4.1 Changes for a New Subscription Term #

Students are free to select different conditions for their next subscription once their current plan ends. This may include:

  • Switching from Private Classes to Group Classes, or vice versa
  • Increasing or decreasing the number of lessons
  • Choosing a longer or shorter subscription duration

These changes apply to the new subscription period and do not affect the active plan.

2.4.2 Changes During an Active Subscription #

If a student wishes to modify an active subscription before it ends, the following guidelines apply:

  • Upgrades (more lessons or longer duration):
    Students may upgrade their plan at any time. Any applicable price difference will be calculated and charged accordingly.
  • Downgrades (fewer lessons or shorter duration):
    Requests to reduce the number of lessons or shorten the duration of an active subscription are reviewed on a case-by-case basis. In most cases, changes to a lower-tier or shorter plan take effect once the current subscription period has concluded. Special arrangements may be considered at SpanishVIP’s discretion.

SpanishVIP does not charge additional administrative fees for processing plan changes.

2.5 Failed or Missed Payments #

There are no additional fees associated with failed or missed payments. If a renewal payment fails, SpanishVIP will contact the student and issue a manual invoice so the payment method can be updated. SpanishVIP does not automatically retry failed payments.

Students are contacted at least (3) three business days before their renewal date. If the student does not respond to the renewal reminder, the Student Success Team will follow up. 

If the renewal date arrives without confirmation or completed payment:

  • For Private Tutoring: The subscription will be automatically canceled on the renewal date. The assigned time slot on their teacher’s schedule will be released, and access to classes will end immediately.
  • For Group Classes: The subscription will be automatically canceled on the renewal date. The corresponding pass in Punchpass will be deactivated, and the student will no longer have access to book or attend group sessions.

SpanishVIP does not extend access or provide additional days beyond the renewal date if payment confirmation is not received.

If the student wishes to resume classes in the future, they may enroll again by contacting SpanishVIP or purchasing a new plan.
