10. Refund Policy

10.1 General Principles #

SpanishVIP is committed to delivering the educational experience outlined at the time of purchase. Refunds are granted only under the conditions described in this policy.

Refunds are not intended to accommodate changes in personal circumstances, scheduling preferences, or dissatisfaction that can be reasonably resolved through the support solutions available, such as pauses, plan modifications, among others.

SpanishVIP reserves the right to review each refund request individually and to determine whether the situation qualifies for a refund, partial refund, alternative solution, or denial. Managerial approval is required in all cases, and approval is not guaranteed.

10.2  During the Seven-Day trial period (First Purchase Only) #

For Group Classes, SpanishVIP offers a seven-day free trial. During this trial, students have full access to the platform. If a student who joined with the “credit card option” decides not to continue, they must notify SpanishVIP at least one business day before the trial period ends so the subscription can be canceled and no charges are applied.

Once the trial period ends and the subscription is automatically charged, the student is no longer eligible for a full refund.

The seven-day trial period does not apply to promotional offers, discounted packages, or special deals.

10.3 Refund Requests After the Initial Seven Days #

After the initial seven-day period, refunds are not guaranteed and are evaluated under the conditions outlined below.

All refund requests submitted after this period must include a clear explanation of the reason for the request.

Please be aware that promotional, discounted, or special offer packages are not eligible for refunds.

10.3.1 Requests Based on Valid Service-Related Concerns #

When a refund request is based on a valid and substantiated concern related to the delivery of the service (including, but not limited to, significant service disruption, unresolved teaching issues, or operational failure attributable to SpanishVIP), the following applies:

SpanishVIP reserves the right to first offer reasonable solutions aimed at resolving the issue. These may include, but are not limited to:

  • Plan modification or switching plans
  • Official Pause
  • Special arrangements or accommodations, when applicable

To remain eligible for further consideration, the student must allow SpanishVIP a reasonable opportunity to address and remedy the situation.

If the student declines all reasonable solutions offered and a refund is approved, SpanishVIP may, at its discretion, grant a full refund of the remaining unused subscription time, minus any non-refundable processing fees.

Refunds under this category are not automatic and remain subject to internal review and approval.

10.3.2 Requests Not Based on Valid Grounds #

When a refund request is based on reasons that do not constitute a material failure in the delivery of the contracted service, the request will be evaluated under this section.

Examples of situations that SpanishVIP does not consider valid grounds for a refund include, but are not limited to:

  • Personal schedule changes
  • Travel plans or relocation
  • Change of interest or motivation
  • Dissatisfaction without allowing SpanishVIP a reasonable opportunity to provide a corrective solution
  • Submit a cancellation request less than one business day before the scheduled renewal date.
  • Forgetting to cancel the plan during the 7-day trial

In such cases, the reason provided does not represent a failure by SpanishVIP to deliver the agreed educational service. Accordingly, SpanishVIP reserves the right to deny the full refund.

Notwithstanding the above, SpanishVIP may, at its sole discretion and without obligation, offer alternative support solutions when reasonably possible. In limited cases, and strictly as a discretionary goodwill accommodation, SpanishVIP may grant a partial refund of up to fifty percent (50%) of the remaining unused subscription time, minus applicable non-refundable processing fees.

10.4 Situations That Not Qualify for Refunds #

Refunds will not be issued for:

  • Unused time due to personal circumstances
  • Student cancellations
  • Short absences
  • Published holidays
  • Expired subscriptions
  • Promotional or discounted packages
  • Dissatisfaction without prior communication and opportunity for correction

Unused classes or subscription time have no cash value and cannot be redeemed once the subscription expires.

10.5 Service Failure or Operational Issues #

If SpanishVIP fails to deliver the contracted service due to internal error or operational failure attributable to SpanishVIP, the company will:

  • Provide a suitable solution, or
  • Grant an extension, credit, or partial refund where appropriate

These cases are reviewed individually.

10.6 Exceptional Refunds (Medical or Emergency Cases) #

SpanishVIP may consider refunds or credits in cases involving:

  • Serious medical conditions
  • Accidents
  • Major family emergencies
  • Verified force-majeure situations

Supporting documentation may be required. Approval is discretionary and subject to managerial review.

If a refund is not approved, SpanishVIP may offer alternative solutions such as subscription pauses or plan adjustments.

10.7 Refund Request & Processing of Approved Refunds #

All refund requests must be submitted formally by email to support@spanishvip.com. This is the only official channel authorized to receive and process refund requests.

A member of the Student Success Team will assist the student throughout the review process and communicate the final decision.

If a refund is approved:

  • Refunds are issued to the original payment method via Stripe
  • Processing times typically range from 5 to 10 business days, depending on the financial institution
  • Refunds are subject to non-refundable processing fees charged by payment providers

SpanishVIP reserves the right to deny refund requests that do not comply with this policy or that are submitted through unofficial channels.
