At SpanishVIP, we are committed to providing students with a high-quality and positive learning experience. For this reason, teachers are carefully assigned through our Perfect Matching System, based on each student’s profile, goals, preferences, and availability.
That said, we understand that learning needs may evolve or that a student may wish to work with a different teacher for personal, pedagogical, or practical reasons. Students may request a teacher change at no additional cost.
6.1 Requesting a Teacher Change #
Students may request a teacher change for any reason, including (but not limited to):
- Teaching style or learning compatibility
- Communication preferences
- Repeated teacher-initiated cancellations
- Changes in learning goals or expectations
- Lack of engagement or perceived fit
- Schedule limitations that can no longer be accommodated
To protect student privacy, feedback provided as part of a teacher change request is treated confidentially and is not shared with the teacher, unless the student explicitly requests that feedback be communicated for improvement purposes.
Students are encouraged to be transparent when explaining their reasons, as this helps SpanishVIP identify a more suitable match.
6.2 How to Request a Teacher Change #
All teacher change requests must be submitted by email to support@spanishvip.com. Requests communicated only to the teacher are not considered official.
The request must include:
- A brief explanation of the reason for the change
- Whether the student wishes to:
- Proceed with the change immediately, or
- Continue taking classes with the current teacher while waiting for reassignment
All requests are handled directly by the Student Success Team, who will guide the student through the process and next steps.
6.3 Availability and Timing #
Teacher reassignment is not immediate and depends on availability, schedule compatibility, and the student’s learning profile.
- In some cases, a new teacher may be available within a few days
- In others, the student may need to wait until a suitable match becomes available (up to two weeks).
SpanishVIP makes every reasonable effort to maintain the student’s existing schedule. However, students who are flexible and able to provide additional availability may be reassigned more quickly.
6.4 Subscription Handling During Reassignment #
If a teacher is not immediately available and the student prefers not to continue classes with their current teacher:
- The subscription may be temporarily paused so that waiting time does not count against the subscription
If the student chooses to continue classes with their current teacher while waiting:
- The subscription remains active, and no pause is required
Subscription pauses during reassignment are handled directly by the Student Success Team and confirmed by email.
6.5 Important Notes #
- Teacher changes do not generate refunds or credits
- Teacher reassignment timelines vary and require student flexibility
- SpanishVIP reserves the right to evaluate repeated teacher change requests on a case-by-case basis
